Countdown to Success

Dear Parent,

Are you a parent of a child in Year 6?

If you are, please keep reading…

Year 6 children across the country will be sitting their SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) during the week beginning 13 May 2013.Children are tested in Maths and English so that the Government can get a clear picture of what standards look like across the country. SATs also help parents to compare their child’s progress with children of the same age nationally.

Our

Countdown to Success campaign is a week-by-week guide for parents whose children will be sitting their Year 6 (Key Stage 2) SATs in May.

As we count down the weeks to SATs, you can follow our 10-week programme to help you make sure your child is fully prepared! We will be updating the pages every week with hints and tips to help you and your child along the way.

You can read all about Countdown to Success, including exam dates and resources for Weeks 10, 9 and 8 here:

www.sheffield.gov.uk/sats.

We will include the link to each week’s page on our Weekly Bulletin but in the meantime, keep your eye out for the leaflets which will soon be available in your child’s school or follow our links on

Facebook.

If you have any questions around Countdown to Success, please don’t hesitate to contact us on the details below.
