Hazelhurst Community Supported Agriculture is a local project that wants to involve local people in the work they do growing organic fruit and vegetables on a beautiful field in the Moss Valley. The land is just on the outskirts of Sheffield and within a couple of miles of many of the neighbourhoods in S8 including Gleadless Valley, Lowedges, Meadowhead and Norton Lees.

If you’re interested in getting involved, here’s how:

You could volunteer on the land

Our regular volunteer days are a great chance to get involved. You can help to prepare and maintain the site, plant seeds and harvest crops. Wear suitable clothes and footwear and bring a fork or a spade if you have one. Please bring hot/cold drinks, and lunch. We provide some hot drinks and can pay your travel expenses. The regular work days are:

  • 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month, 10am – late
  • every Wednesday, 10am – late
  • every Thursday, 10am – late

This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and enjoys the countryside and fresh air. We will do all we can to support you and get the most out of volunteering with us. You can come as little or often as suits you. If you’re interested contact out volunteer co-ordinator Stella on  07541 209661

Become a member

By becoming a member of Hazelhurst CSA you help support the work we do and influence decision making. To become a member of the CSA costs from just £1. Regular volunteers need only pay the £1 membership fee. Non-volunteers are asked to pay an annual fee of between £10 and £24 to cover running costs. There are currently over 70 members of the CSA.
