Environmental Taster Days near Lowedges, Batemoor & Jordanthorpe

The Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham are running 12 free environmental taster days at Moss Valley Woodlands nature reserve, near to Lowedges, Batemoor and Jordanthorpe.  These days run from 10am – 3pm, and are open to anyone interested in gaining skills in environmental conservation techniques. 

AUGUST

Thursday 2nd – Annual bracken cut

Friday 10th – Path revetment

Friday 17th – Holly scalloping

Friday 31st – Holly scalloping

SEPTEMBER

Tuesday 11th – Annual meadow cut

Wednesday 26th – Fence destruction

OCTOBER

Thursday 4th – Post & rail fencing

Friday 12th – Hedgelaying

Tuesday 23rd – Hedgelaying

NOVEMBER

Friday 9th – Post & rail fencing

Wednesday 14th – Tree transplanting

Monday 26th – Ring-barking/felling
