Foxhill Forum – Job Vacancy


Job Buddy

Salary £14,560 per annum, pro rata

17.5 Hours per week. This post is initially funded till February 2013

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and innovative individual to an exciting new part time post in Foxhill.

He/she will have experience working in the community with local people to help them improve their employability, and prepare them for the job market.

 The Job Buddy which is a new post will work with local people to increase their basic skills, develop their ICT and job searching skills, develop their confidence and improve self esteem.

  The Job Buddy will support clients to gain suitable employment, and identify opportunities for clients to engage in learning, or develop skills through volunteering.

You will be someone who:

• has supported individuals to improve their employability, and to find employment

• has understanding of the barriers and difficulties people can face in gaining suitable employment

• has knowledge of the current labour market

• is able to take a lead in developing employability skills and support individuals in one-to-one and in group sessions.

We will provide the post holder with training, development and provide the necessary support he/she might require to develop the successful post holder’s skills in this role.
