Sheffield City Read

Sheffield City Read – May 2012

To mark the bicentenary of Charles Dickens’ birth, Sheffield libraries are giving away 1500 FREE copies of Oliver Twist throughout May.

Consider yourself invited you to join us in celebrating libraries, books and reading by reacquainting yourself with Oliver, Fagan and Nancy. Share your reading experience by visiting our blog, chatting with friends or joining a reading group.

We would love as many people as possible to get in involved, so once you’ve finished reading, why not review and then pass your book on. Collect your book from your library or at a planned event taking place around the city during May.

We’re working with the Sheffield Dickens Fellowship, the Showroom, Parks, Supertram, the Friends of the Botanical Gardens and others, so visit our blog for details of events and activities coming soon.
